We provide families with monthly food packs of basic grocery items to sustain them during the ripple effect of the pandemic.

This tourist town in Zimbabwe has a population of over 35,000. The pandemic shut down the town practically overnight as borders were closed and international flights suspended. About 90% of people in the town lost their source of income and those still employed are on seriously reduced salaries.

Although borders have re-opened, the situation is unlikely to improve until April next year.

World Vision, after an assessment process is giving $USD12 per person a month to identified families. However, they only have funds to assist 4700 people due to the massive need across the rest of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe has been identified as one of 27 countries in the world that is most likely to experience famine as a result of COVID-19 related economic issues. It ranks between 2 and 5 on the Famine Early Warning System network and Victoria Falls is listed as Critical. It is only prevented from slipping into the Emergency state by locals and donors who are working to keep people fed.

Our aim with FeedZimFund is to ensure that nobody slips through the cracks, and we will continue to offer support families and individuals in danger of starvation for as long as we are able to keep raising funds.

If you think you can't afford to help... the price of a cup of coffee could feed a family of 4 for a day!

Since August 2020, we have fed over 100 families

We have raised more than £2000, but the pandemic is far from over, and life is far from normal, so we need to keep raising funds to feed these families until they can regain their independence.

South African song Jerusalema has become the sound of the pandemic for millions across southern Africa. The song is a lamentation for God to take the singer to the heavenly city.

The guardian says "Clips of dancers across the globe now include nuns, construction workers, police officers, waiters and fuel attendants.

Emotional videos of healthcare workers in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Italy, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the US, Australia and Puerto Rico have become an uplifting source of hope for patients fighting Covid-19, as some countries experience a second wave."

Victoria Falls is a small isolated town in Zimbabwe in the middle of a National Park with a population of around 35,000.

Aside from the wildlife, other attractions for tourists are the Victoria Falls themselves, and some adrenaline sports, like white water rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping, gorge swings, zip-lining, crocodile cage diving and elephant back safaris.

The Victoria Falls, called Mosi o Tunya by the locals, which means “the smoke that thunders” is the only waterfall in the world with a length of more than a kilometre and a height of more than hundred meters. It is also considered to be the largest falls in the world and can be viewed from two countries – Zimbabwe and Zambia.
